Rachel Measures

Chartered Physiotherapist

Rachel qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2004 at The University of The West of England, Bristol.  She then began her career working within the NHS, and then quickly moved into the private sector, working for Nuffield Health, for whom she still works part time.  Rachel then undertook further studies at The Royal Veterinary College, London gaining the Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy.  Rachel  now does the vast majority of her human physiotherapy work at Linkfield Physiotherapy Clinic in Redhill, Surrey.

Rachel’s equestrian background began aged three in the show ring, and developed on to successfully completing three Pony Club Championships: re-schooling her challenging and sensitive horse, Cobweb, in order to do so.  She currently still owns and rides Cobweb, now 28.  Rachel also owns an experienced mare, Bonnie, who is 24.  Bonnie is still competing; jumping in British Showjumping Amateur Championship Classes with Rachel.

Rachel describes the highlights of her sporting career as competing in the famous International Arena at Hickstead Showground in 1996, claiming 4th place in the British Schools Championships with the team from Reigate Grammar School.  Also, she has had the honour of being part of the Team GB modern pentathlon squad in a number of youth international competitions, including the European Championships in 2000.

Gill Measures BHSAI

Physiotherapy Assistant

Gill Measures is a well established BHSAI, with 40 years experience working with horses.  A large number pupils have successfully passed various levels of BHS and Pony Club examinations under her tutelage.  She has also successfully competed at British Eventing and British Show Jumping, as well as a number of years experience working in studs and competition yards.

Gill is the practice’s fully trained Physiotherapy Assistant, assisting with the equine patients on busy clinic days.  

Gill is also available for instruction around the Surrey/West Sussex borders (mainly Horley, Hookwood, Crawley, Redhill & Smallfield)  She teaches both competitive & non-competitive riders of all ages.  Call Gill on 07919 357 208 to discuss your requirements.
